History

Coffee was grown in the Marianas during the Spanish and German eras including the occupation of the islands by the Japanese in the 1940's. On hidden and remote areas of the island we believe some of those original plants can still be found. Today, we are encouraging the local production of coffee beans, while growing our own coffee plants on the slopes of Mt. Tapachao, with the aim of creating a coffee unique to the Northern Mariana Islands.
